The Workshop on Science Intensive Applied Software is a satellite event of the Seventh International Andrei Ershov Memorial Conference "Perspectives of System Informatics" to be held by A. P. Ershov Institute of Informatics Systems in Akademgorodok. The goal of the workshop is to present recent advances in science intensive applied software development, and to provide a wide forum for discussions and exchange of ideas between researchers from academia and industry, application software developers and customers. Workshop StructureThe program will include contributed talks, panels, and demos of software systems. Working languages are Russian and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided. ProceedingsAccepted papers will be published as a separate volume and distributed among the workshop participants. SubmissionContributed papers and poster presentations should be submitted not later than April, 10, 2009. Papers should present original research results, description of application software projects, or science extensive software prototypes and claims. Software projects should be presented as posters. The papers are to be submitted electronically as Word documents, and should not exceed 8 pages of text and illustrations (A4 format, 12-point Times New Roman) and 4 pages for extended abstracts. To apply for participation, the authors should submit short abstracts in English and Russian and provide personal information including names, affiliation, phone and fax numbers, mailing addresses, and e-mail addresses.
