A.P. Ershov Informatics Conference (the PSI Conference Series, 11th edition)

June 26–29, 2017, Moscow, Russia

A.P. Ershov Informatics Conference (the PSI Conference Series, the 11th edition) is the premier international forum in Russia for research and its applications in computer, software and information sciences. The conference brings together academic and industrial researchers, developers and users to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, experiences and concerns in the conference area.

The series of the conferences is dedicated to the memory of academician Andrei Petrovich Ershov (1931-1988) (1931–1988) and his outstanding contributions towards advanced informatics.

Andrei Ershov was one of the early Russian pioneers in the field of theoretical and systems programming, a recognized leader of a number of software projects and a founder of the Siberian School of Computer Science. In 1974 he was nominated as a Distinguished Fellow of the British Computer Society. In 1981 he received the Silver Core Award for services rendered to IFIP.

The first A.P. Ershov Memorial Conference “Perspectives of System Informatics” was held in 1991 in Novosibirsk. Eminent scientists from many countries have presented keynote lectures to the wide audience of Novosibirsk programmers and students of the Novosibirsk State University.

The other PSI conferences had a more regular character, there were a few invited talks presented by leading scientists and 30–40 submitted papers in the programs. Due to a high level of submitted papers and tutorials, keynote lectures of eminent scientists as well as warm and friendly atmosphere of the meetings, PSI conferences became popular international events.
