A.P. Ershov Institute of Informatics Systems
Andrei Ershov Fifth International Conference «PERSPECTIVES OF SYSTEM INFORMATICS»

9-12 July 2003, Novosibirsk, Akademgorodok, Russia

Session Informatics of Education

In the previous Conferences, the session was traditionally called "School informatics", in concordance with the research direction founded by academician A.P. Ershov. Recently, this direction has been essentially developed. Now it covers not only the problems of teaching informatics at schools and colleges, but the topics related to education structure and teaching principles. Experience of the seminar "School informatics" held in the IIS SB RAS has shown that at present it is actual to call this session "Informatics of education".

Topics of the session

  • Professional and preprofessional training of programmers,
  • Competitions in informatics,
  • Information systems of teaching informatics,
  • Distance projects and Internet,
  • Experience of teaching informatics at schools and Universities,
  • History of informatics.
